Introducing the 3000i series

Our most affordable range consists of the 3010i bookshelf, 3020i and 3030i standmount models, 3050i floorstander, with the 3090i centre channel and 3060S slimline subwoofer completing the line-up for a 5.1 home cinema set-up.

Technology from the high end

The 3000i series features acoustic and cabinet technologies first introduced in our high-end flagship floorstanding loudspeaker, the Concept 500. Every model in the range benefits from these ground-breaking innovations.

The style to satisfy

Every model in the range features elegantly curved cabinetry and is available in a choice of Carbon Black, Arctic White, Graphite Grey and English Walnut finishes. These veneers are complemented by chrome-finish bezels and magnetic grilles.

Low-end power and control

The 3060S is a much slimmer and more discreet subwoofer than the norm, but thanks to its powerful 150-watt amplifier and high-performance 200mm bass driver it can generate all the low-frequency presence a home cinema system demands. And its tidy dimensions and choice of four finishes means it looks much more discreet than it sounds.

P2P™ (Point to Point) bracing

Q Acoustics P2P™ (Point to Point™) bracing technology is used throughout the 3000i series - it supports the parts of the cabinet that need to be stiffened, making the new enclosures exceptionally rigid. This improves the focus of the stereo image and gives the soundstage more accuracy than ever before.

High-frequency driver design

The 3000i tweeter unit is mechanically isolated from the baffle via a compliant suspension system to prevent internal pressure modulations from within the cabinet and from the adjacent mid/bass driver - this allows the high-frequency driver to perform with dramatically reduced interference compared to more traditional designs.

Mid/bass driver design

Every 3000i model is fitted with precision-formed mid/bass drivers made from a combination of impregnated and coated paper with a newly developed, low-hysteresis rubber surround. The coated paper cone provides the optimum balance between stiffness and self-damping, which means it can accelerate without flexing and stop very accurately without unwanted resonance.

HPE™ (Helmholtz Pressure Equalizer)

The 3050i, like all floorstanding loudspeakers, is vulnerable to internal build-up of pressure that causes both unwanted standing waves and colouration. To prevent this occurring, specially designed HPE™ (Helmholtz Pressure Equaliser™) tubes are fitted inside the cabinet to nullify internal pressure and improve frequency response.

What people are saying

"Very much like Jason Statham’s character in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, the Q Acoustics 3030i are a tad unleashed. They communicate music like an effortless weapon, and with some serious punch in the lower registers. "

"Q Acoustics has done it again. The 3020i are a shining example of a product done right, and then improved further with lessons learned. For the money, this is about as complete and rounded a musical performance you can get. If you’re looking for a serious set of speakers with a limited budget, look no further."

"The sound is quality is nothing short of superlative for the money, the look and feel is great; and they’re unfussy about where you put them...the Q Acoustics 3020i make sure that the spotlight shines on the music alone. That’s really all you can ask from any speaker, at any price...the Q Acoustics 3020i are a steal at the price."

Hi-Fi Choice, 5 Stars, Group Test WinnerSep 2018

"More than just a safe pair of hands, the 3020i has real star quality...delivers a potent, fully rounded musical experience that will keep you listening"

ForbesJul 2021

"The engineers at Q Acoustics have managed to create a bookshelf speaker that sounds like a floorstander. The result is a speaker that flows beautifully and reveals so much more of the music...Unless you want to spend twice as much, you probably won't find a better bookshelf speaker for the money."

"Deep in size, deep in sonic analysis, these standmounts will make great first speakers...A former Award-winning speaker that’s been improved, they keep Q Acoustics firmly among the cream of the budget speaker crop."

"...the 3020i has no vices. No blooming of the bass, no brightness in the mids and no pinched treble while the extra midrange insight and tonal realism gives these speakers an expensive feel. How the company produces this sort of performance from the given price point is beyond me."
